Went boarding last weekend behind the awesome Mastercraft X-Star. Neon lights under the back platform, pumping sound system and ridiculous engine.
Note – what speed ban on Windermere! – thanks to unnamed driver!
Getting really itchy feet now – full moons and tides turning worldwide – need to go surfing. The big stuff is due, only problem is I’m about 3/4 stone overweight so I will really feel it!
Good September, everyone worked well, loads of creativity and client compliments – it feels good when all the elements come together. Duncan, in particular, had a flyer – well done DC.
Home life is sound. Son no.2 swam under water for the second time at only 4 months old – we got some funny looks though when we submerged him!
Had some great ideas for Christmas to try and inject some fun into all of our lives. Fed up of hearing about the ‘credit crunch’. It is what it is – nothing we can do, so we either ‘roll over and die’ or get on with our lives and adapt however unfair and unjust the system is!
Our friend Oscar has been fully booked since starting on his own as a Surf Instructor in Fuerteventura back in July – hope to hook up soon.

First of all, I’d like to send a big WELL DONE! to our ‘tecchie team’ for bringing the new website to life! A special pat on the back goes to Nick and Chris – I’m liking your style chaps!
We’ve all worked pretty exhaustively on the Agency re-brand, and I for one am delighted with where we have now placed ourselves. I’m very excited about the direction that the Agency is now taking. It’s a pleasure to be working with our small, but perfectly formed group of people. From our studio’s point of view, the new identity gives us a great platform to push the boundaries and demonstrate our creative talents.
From now on, with the constantly changing graphic format we have chosen for our Agency brand, there will be no room for complacency, and we will now be continuously be asking ourselves, ‘what’s next?’ Anyway, as this is a blog! Here are a few bits about myself… I’ve worked in the industry for nearly 20 years (oh my god! time really does fly!) and I’m still loving the design business, probably now more than ever!
My other passion is close-up magic. I love performing my card tricks, and it’s a great feeling to completely bewilder people right under their nose! Plus, it does tend to get me a few invites to some the best parties!
I also play a bit of classical guitar. I get together with another 3 guitarists every other Sunday and we stumble and twang our way through some great classical pieces. Actually, one of our group is a classical guitar tutor at a local private school, he never stumbles and twangs – he’s a devastatingly good player! I hate him.
I live out in the countryside with my lovely girlfriend and our Pony, called ‘Moonlight’. He’s a great little chap, who’s only ambition in life is to spend each day eating as many carrots and apples as he possibly can.
So, for anyone still reading this…I admire your endurance! and I’ll post again soon with more news, thoughts and juicy gossip from behind the closed doors at Open Door Design!

“You have a section on our new site for your blog!” – says Nick – Head of all our on-line activities.
Thanks! I think (coming from a man who prints out all his e-mails and thinks google is something you do at female wakeboarders)!
So Nick deliberately wants me to contribute, be a Team player and get a bit more up to speed with what’s going on in the world.
“It’s your blog – do what you want”
OK. Now I get it. So I intend to post anything relevant or not and maybe use my blog as a soapbox – beware! A picture paints a thousand words – so I’ve posted a few images of what my life’s about at this moment.
Next week I’m going to get off my chest some of the business issues that really wind me up and affect most of us like unethical companies such as Dipford Group Plc, Kings Business Transfer and Redwoods Dowling Kerr based in Huddersfield and Bristol, who take advantage of our trust by ordering (and keeping) goods 2 weeks prior to banking the company and miraculously managing to sell the business under the same name! – These are the type of t***s that make all our lives hard and potentially ruin all the hard work our team undertakes.
