Back to business

I’ve been back a while from my fantastic trip to Croatia and I’m still revelling from what an awesome trip it was and can highly recommend taking a boat out for a week in the sun. Not quite the boat that Dean likes to play in, but none the less one of the guys still managed to get a wakeboard off the back!!

So, back to work. We’ve had an interesting couple of weeks since I came back with some really good ideas starting to evolve from the online side of the business. We’re starting to develop some products relating to “proximity marketing” using blue tooth technologies, it’s a little bit hush hush at the mo but as soon as we’re ready to launch it we’ll have a lot more to tell you.

Our resident programming guru, Chris, is polishing off our spangly new and improved online tools which really rock! The new Content Management System has been greatly improved and we’re really looking forward to applying this to the new builds we’re on with at the moment.

This weekend coming I’m heading off to the Lakes to meet up with some University chums for a bit of walking, boozing and no doubt some shenanigans, fingers crossed for some good weather!

3rd October and another month gone by!

Went boarding last weekend behind the awesome Mastercraft X-Star. Neon lights under the back platform, pumping sound system and ridiculous engine.

Note – what speed ban on Windermere! – thanks to unnamed driver!

Getting really itchy feet now – full moons and tides turning worldwide – need to go surfing. The big stuff is due, only problem is I’m about 3/4 stone overweight so I will really feel it!

Good September, everyone worked well, loads of creativity and client compliments – it feels good when all the elements come together. Duncan, in particular, had a flyer – well done DC.

Home life is sound. Son no.2 swam under water for the second time at only 4 months old – we got some funny looks though when we submerged him!

Had some great ideas for Christmas to try and inject some fun into all of our lives. Fed up of hearing about the ‘credit crunch’. It is what it is – nothing we can do, so we either ‘roll over and die’ or get on with our lives and adapt however unfair and unjust the system is!

Our friend Oscar has been fully booked since starting on his own as a Surf Instructor in Fuerteventura back in July – hope to hook up soon.

Virtually a week into our re brand and new website launch and the response has been great – pat on the back for all concerned (we are already working on phase 2)

Busy week for production over 220 pages designed and artworked, 3 large concepts created and not really sure what’s happening on Nick’s side – both been too busy to speak!

Personally, Son No 1 had his first week at school last week and that went well and No 2 has got over colic so sleep is back on the menu.

Said last time I’d have a go at the p—-s at Dipford PLC – Huddersfield for taking us for over 3 grand but can’t be bothered – too much positive stuff going off, still, hope the housing recession hits the value of the director’s homes with full effect to counteract the immoral behaviour of them and their ‘corporate restructuring specialists’ – I’m not bitter ‘much’!

Talking previously about sleep now it’s back on the menu went out on Friday and got back home at 5am – always seems Nick Waind’s around when everyone else has gone to bed – good effort!

Still don’t understand Chris fully – I think programmers should come with instructions

Itching to surf or wakeboard so I’ll see what this weekend brings especially as a dude called Will has sorted me out a cool wakeskate thanks to Brett

I’ll try find some decent images for next time
