Chris, a Computing graduate of the University of Leeds is the lead programmer at Open Door Design.

His projects include, data warehousing, content management systems, e-commerce and financial reporting. Not only does Chris provide the programming expertise for the business, his humour and quick witted nature makes him a great asset to the Open Door Design team.

Favourite toy?

Definitely my iPad 2. Much like the wheel and the printed word, I can only assume it's release will go down as one of the canonical milestones of human history. How did I ever run my life without it?

Who inspires you?

Bill Gates. He's a great example of how one man with a good idea can change the world. His vision for "a computer on every desk in every home" sounded crazy in 1980. Now a billion people worldwide have access to amazing resources like Wikipedia and Google, thanks to Microsoft software. Not to mention he is now almost single handily wiping out malaria with the Gates Foundation!

What do you do outside of work?

I run a charity that promotes education and community action. It's sometimes stressful, sometimes heartbreaking, but always rewarding.

With a combined 75 years industry experience, the Open Door Design team are a highly creative, professional and enthusiastic group of people each bringing nothing but positives (and the odd bonus) to the company. Firmly based around a team ethos and commercial awareness, Open Door Design have continued to evolve and produce work of the highest standard for the past 18 years.
