And on the wettest day of the year so far...

That's right, 10th August 2011, without doubt the wettest day of the year (well according to our resident Michael Fish it was), the team upped sticks and decided to embrace all things H20 by taking a trip up to Windemere for a day of Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing.

A couple of hours tuition in the morning got us all up to speed, (Big shout to Ash at Low Wood) the highlights of which were Nick showing us how its done, Andrew cockily getting up and riding first time before taking an almighty faceplant which firmly put him back in his box! After a wobbly start, I was soon up and running and the girls, Jenny and Jess, if you pardon the pun, were like ducks to water!

Later in the afternoon we pulled out the big guns, or big gun, Open Door Design's very own MasterCraft X-Star, a 400bhp V8 monster which upped the game entirely. Saying that however, myself and Jenny did a lot better  so much so that Jenny inadvertently pulled off a 180º without even trying!

Much of this was down to the expert tuition of Michael Hardicker, MasterCraft supremo, friend, client and to top it all off, former UK Wakeboarding Champion! (massive thanks Michael).

Our day was rounded off by Dean expertly showing us his array of tricks and then because Michael had to 'test some new bindings' he took to the lake and blew us all away with a truly awesome ride.

A great day out all in all, even though we got well and truly drenched it was awesome. Although the next day the studio was like a hospital ward with everyone suffering some kind of ache or ailment!

Right, London Night Jump here we come!
