Time to think!

As with every creative agency, we love the quick in, quick out jobs. The ones that require you to put your thinking hat on and deliver a result within a day or so, sometimes even an hour or so! However, my favourite projects are the ones when you are given the luxury of four or five months to come up with the goods and you can kick back and watch all the pieces fall into place. One of these projects has been this years Symposium/Conference for Sesame Bankhall Group. Way back in May, Dean and I, along with Yorkshire's most infamous thinker, Glynn Robinson, devised a concept that truly got into the ribs of the financial market.

All of the Financial Advisers in the UK are approaching a pivotal moment in their careers. Conform to the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) or change careers completely. Time is of the essence as they have to change their business model before 31st January 2012 or walk away from not only their passion but their livelihood!

With this at the forefront of our thoughts we created a concept which was based around time. Lo and behold, where were the conferences? Westminster of course! Home of Big Ben, a stone's throw from The City of London (financial capital of Europe) and of course Canary Wharf, famous for it's abstract and world renowned clocks!

Brilliant we thought! By exploiting these districts we used vivid and contemporary imagery tied in with our clever but striking headlines to execute a powerful concept...

That was the glamourous part of the job.

The pure graft was then overseeing Open Door Design deliver over 200 different elements of print, web and exhibition graphics to fulfill the clients needs whilst retaining a strong synergy between programmes, four metre high pillar wraps, name badges, stands, menus, table numbers, directional signage, lift signs, pens, pads, stamps, powerpoint presentations and anything else that got thrown into the mix before the first event on the 14th November.

In between the two events, the 15th November, my 13th 21st birthday(!), I scooted down to London to take shots of the team's work to see how it all looked and it was certainly very rewarding to see it all in place.

The ultimate reward though is that there was record numbers for the events and both exceeded capacity. Extremely positive feedback from the client and attendees is testament to all the hard work by everyone involved in the project.
