odd talk / to v or not to v?

TO V OR NOT TO V?

I'm constantly championing the effectiveness of social media for businesses and clients.

However, last Tuesday I entered a competition via Twitter to win tickets to 'V-Festival', fast forward two hours and I received a tweet informing me that I was the winner and that 4 VIP tickets were winging their way to Waind Towers!

Due to the last minute nature of the festival being 3 days away I was pretty indecisive whether I could go and who would come with me? After much umm-ing and ah-ing, I thought "Lets do it, lets go!", I called upon two mates who I knew are socially incompetent and would have a space in their diaries... Yep, that's right, Open Door Design's very own Tom and Andrew.

We all jumped in the car and motored our way to Stafford checking the weather reports every half hour.

A cracking night out was had by the three of us in some kind of twisted team-building exercise (and I stress the word exercise due to the amount of walking we had to do just to find somewhere to pitch our tents).

Highlights? Well for me it had to be Primal Scream performing Screamadelica, a proper nostalgia trip!

So a big thank you to @FHM and @Strongbow for the tickets and a special thank you to Frankie at Strongbow for lining our pockets with endless amounts of Cider Tokens!

I'll keep championing Social Media for its extensive uses to businesses and clients but it certainly also pays to use it on a pleasure basis!
